Its delicate petal shape pays homage to a new rose named after Maria Callas in 1965, honouring her deep affection for these flowers. A costume detail from one of her recognisable bel canto roles, Bellini’s “Norma”, is reflected in a pattern of laurel leaves surrounding the platinum-coated cone of the edition, along with the embossed signature of the celebrated soprano.
